After the women’s movements and the passing of some laws, e.g. the women’s suffrage in 1918 or the act according equal rights to women, there are only two questions left: Has the situation for women in Germany improved in the last decades and in case of a “Yes!”, how much has the develpment changed women's lives as businesswomen and mothers?
To get a clear answer to this big and important issue, I asked two experts to receive first-hand information. On the one hand Mrs Dr. Karin Uphoff, who deals for example with women’s problems in industry at the European Union, sent me some information, and on the other hand Lisa Ortgies, the presenter of frauTV on the West German Radio WDR, answered many questions by phone.
